way into the USA we were reminded of an article from Consumer Reports a few months ago which
explains that “In Europe the International
Olive Council, chartered by the United Nations, establishes standards
and works to ensure that products labeled extra-virgin, the highest grade of
oil, live up to their billing.” However, these standards are not as
well monitored by the US government as well as European governments.
